Who is the summer staff?
Every season, God sends us a dynamic staff from near and far to fill the 15+ summer staff positions such as Program Director, Outdoor Skills Leader, Waterfront Director, facilities staff and counselors. We spend a great deal of time interviewing, checking references and running background checks. All staff members must agree to abide by the Bingle Camp polices and procedures as well as submit a sexual propriety statement. Prior to the start of our camping programs, all staff members participate in a weeklong training session. Please refer to our working for Bingle web page and view the staff policies document.
Where is Bingle?
Bingle Camp is located on beautiful Harding Lake, 45 miles south off Fairbanks via the Richardson Hwy. See the web page for map. Bingle Camp is situated on 66 acres, which offers your camper the opportunity to experience God’s Great Outdoors, gain new skills and challenge their Faith in Christ. On camp premises there is a Lodge, Chapel, two shower houses with flushing toilets, 6 log cabins that each accommodate up to 12 campers plus a wonderful waterfront, home of the Iceberg, and supervised by a certified lifeguard and staff. Bingle Camp has provided inter-denominational Christian camping experiences in Interior Alaska since 1953. Bingle Camp is operated by Bingle Camp Ministries and an independent Board of Directors, and is owned by the Yukon Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church, USA.
What if our family is not affiliated with a Presbyterian Church?
Bingle Camp welcomes ALL from all denominations. Some of our campers do not regularly attend a particular church. Bingle Camp provides diverse programs and desires to bring the camper to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our hope that the camper will go home excited about their relationship with Jesus.
What is the attendance
policy?
Each parent or guardian sending a camper to Bingle Camp must clearly intend that the camper will remain on camp premises for the duration of the camp. For the sake of campers and staff, it is the policy of Bingle Camp that campers not be removed from the group by a parent or guardian during a camp and returned later to complete the camp.
What is the refund policy?
All camp prices include a non-refundable deposit. Refunds (less deposit) will be given if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to the first day of camp.
How soon
must I pay for camp?
If you choose to submit only the deposit to reserve your space at camp the balance is due by June 15.
When
will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Upon receipt of your registration you will be sent a letter of confirmation with details of what to bring to camp (usually emailed).
